A lot or a little? The tue age range I could recommend it to is maybe 4th to 6th grade. However, Grisham tries to make the book too “kid friendly” and doubles down on the suspense as most of the suspense is towards the beginning of the book and wavers throughout the book.

One day at the DeSoto County courthouse, Grisham overheard the harrowing testimony of a twelve-year-old rape victim and was inspired to start a novel exploring what would have happened if the girl’s father had murdered her assailants.
Essentially every story ever written has already been told before, but the trick is retelling it well and making us, the readers, believe that it’s a bright, shiny, and new story. You know how to write tension in your books for us grown-ups; give the kids the same respect. I’d recommend this book to young readers because of the simplicity and exciting storyline, but based on my personal tastes, I wouldn’t give this book the highest rating. Theodore himself is a really admirable guy who’ll put his love of legal investigation to the test when it comes to helping his friends.
It sounds pretty clever to create a kids version of his bestselling books, right? I read almost all of his books including the non-lawyer stuff.

But most of the kids who watch shows like that are going to be a bit older and can handle a more advanced vocabulary. But, John Grisham adds his expertise to “The Abduction” and makes the old kidnap story a little more interesting by adding the young lawyer, Theodore Boone, to the mix. This is an tthe book and I am enjoying the series.
Safely back at home, Theo is praised for finding April, and April’s family goes to court to decide what changes will be abducion within their family life.

Since then I’ve really gained a new appreciation for the Theodore Boone books and I love that Grisham has written a series that hopefully will inspire younger readers to pursue law and police work as a field of interest.
