I know that this answer is not what you expect but I just want to point out a solution of your problem that jodconvfrter am aware of. But i don’t know weather it support from HTML to pdf. From what I know you have two options:. You may take a look at documents4j if you need a library that uses Microsoft Office Word for better MSWord document conversion. At least that’s the way I know, and doing it.
But I believe that the JODConverter library makes the process significantly easier, so you may want to look into that first. You could turn all your docx documents to LibreOffice and jodconvefter export them to PDF without compatibility issues using the LibreOffice software or your external java library. I suppose that I’m not the first who needs this In order to achieve that you eaxmple need a script telling the MS Word to make the conversion and call that Script from Java using Runtime. Do you mean for arbitrary HTML? Give it a try, it not only converts html but a lot more.
